This year marks the 60th anniversary of the first Walthambury Bagging Machine, invented by Tony Monk, the head engineer at Walthambury Farm.

The machine revolutionised potato harvesting by enabling farmers to Weigh and Bag potatoes in one seamless process.

Previously, Weighing and Bagging had to be done separately, requiring a tedious and time-consuming procedure.
